She is based in the Shannendoha Valley in Virginia. Brooke uses text, photography, and video to share impactful conservation and natural history stories. Brooke is a National Geographic Explorer and a recipient of National Geographic’s Second Assistant grant. She currently works with Smithsonian’s National Zoo and Conservation Biology Institute. .
